Vulcanus Product Configurator

Software for product configuration and quotation calculation with CAD interface.

The Vulcanus Product Configurator is based on the ClassiX® AppsWarehouse® variant management, which provides large variant diversity and customized product configuration. This complexity is accomplished on all levels with the following features:

Variant Part
Defining variant parts with item characteristics sets reduces the number of items in the item master remarkably. Variant part functionality is clearly defined by the item characteristics. In all processing steps, the system pools
developed/ specified variant parts, whenever their specification is the same.

Sales Set
Defining sales items and sales sets as variant part
casts, the sales product definition and -configuration becomes more simple and structured. Internal variant diversity decreases while the it remains the same for the customer.

Item Characteristic
Using calculating formula attributes or conditioned attributes, technical data can be specified automatically based on performance criteria. The risk of error decreases significantly.

(Variant-) Specification
Variant part specifications can be marked with a number. This makes dealing with variant parts easier, since virtual items can be named.

Other than this master data functionality, the product configurator possesses a special product configuration cockpit.

Objective of a product configuration is, to create a sales item list, including an assembly group set, VK sets or separate sales items.

Advantages of the product configurator are the conditioned assembly group - and VK set items, which get specified automatically after item characteristic query. Product configuration sales item list can also be a combination of single item master components.

Connecting to AutoCAD, a product configuration can be imported out of CAD figure. Import out of an MS Excel file is also possible.

Mythologic Background
Etruscan god of beneficial and hindering fire; equivalent of the Greek god Hephaistos, who was son of Zeus and Hera (or only Zeus); the most artistic of all gods.

After returning to the Olymp due to Dionysos, he built palaces for the gods, a chariot of the sun for Helios and the Aegis (shield) for Athena. With the cyclopes, he made thunderbolt for Zeus. He is the god of vulcanos, fire, blacksmithing and architecture.
