PDF Export

• Setup Adobe PostScript Printer Driver
• Setup AFPL GhostScript
• Setup File PStoPDF.bat

Step 1 :  Setup Adobe^® PostScript^® Printer Driver

• Start installation program winstger.exe from the ClassiX^®-PDFExport- Installation directory (or the latest version of the Adobe Systems Download Page), select any connection (such as LPT1) when selecting a local connection.
• Printer can be installed as "not approved" by default
• It needs to be defined in the print options, that print jobs are not put into the dequeue:
  Printer -> Options (right mouse-button) ->
  • Win 9x: register "Details" -> button "Spool Adjustments" -> selections "Pass print jobs to printer"
  • WinNT: register "Scheduling print jobs" -> selection "Pass print jobs directly to printer"
  • Win2000: register "Expanded" -> selection "Pass print jobs directly to printer"

Step 2 :   Setup AFPL Ghostscript

Local Setup:

• Execute setup program gs814w32.exe from the ClassiX^® PDFExport setup directory (or the latest version of the sourceFORGE.net/Ghostscript-Seite) locally
• During program runtime, an environment variable (CX_GHOSTDIR) is required. This variable can be either defined:
  
  • globally in the Windows system control (Windows NT) / autoexec.bat (Win 9x)
  • or in the ClassiX^® start batch file

(complete path to Ghostscript\bin-directory "gs"). 
(example: C:\programme\gs\gs6.53\bin)

Server-Based Setup:

• Execute setup program gs814w32.exe from the ClassiX^® PDFExport setup directory (or the latest version of the sourceFORGE.net/Ghostscript-Seite) on the server (or from a work station with a target path on the server)
• An environment variable (CX_GHOSTDIR) is required during program runtime. This variable should be defined in the ClassiX^® start batch file (full path to the ghostscript\bin-directory "gs"). (example: \\CXServer\gs\gs8.14\bin)
• Define environment variable GS_LIB and GS_DLL in file PStoPDF.bat (see below).

Step 3 :   Setup File PStoPDF.bat

• Copy file into directory \ClassiX\Projects
• (only Win9x): adjust attribute to file (right mouse-button on file)
  • execute: minimised
  • close when ending: yes
• (for server-based setup) Define environment variables GS_LIB and GS_DLL at file start: 
  GS_DLL - complete path to file gsdll32.dll (z.B. SET GS_DLL=\\CXServer\gs\gs8.14\bin\gsdll32.dll)
  GS_LIB - complete paths to LIB- and FONT directories (e.g. SET GS_LIB=\\CXServer\gs\gs6.53\lib;\\CXServer\gs\font)
