The improved security settings of W2K SP4 with PostSP4 updates know a new security guideline (in comparision to SP3): "Create Global Objects". This is only allowed for services and administrators by default.
The generation of global objects seems to be necessary for the Objectstore CacheManager function (client communication).
Workaround:
ClassiX® users get the permission to create global objects.
Since only ClassiX® users work on our TS, this applies for everyone (all main users, whereas every authenticated user in the local group is a main user).
Approach:
Under "System Control ->Administration->Local Safety Guideline" in group "Local Guideline"; "User Rigts Assignment" open the right "Create Global Objects" and assign the local group "Main User".
Comment: When using global guidelines in the Windows domain, this setting can be made here, too - for global groups!
